A platform will be constructed above the vacant space within the harbour entrance to create the area for development. Employment opportunities will be created during construction and once completed, in the new restaurants and cafes.

The buildings will achieve a high level of natural light, acoustic insulation and energy efficiency, with recycling facilities provided on site. A Sustainable Travel Plan has been produced, with emphasis being placed on cycling, walking, enhanced public transport and the expansion of the city-wide Car Club.
